Our boiler chimney stack has a water filtration system designed to eliminate emissions entering the environment.
We focus on reducing emissions into our natural environment. The significant reduction in water usage has been a major advancement in this area. We use solar energy to heat up to 1,500,000 litres (approximately 400,000 gallons) of water per week and where possible waste materials are recycled, sold for alternate uses or reused.
We reduce our carbon footprint by sea shipping raw materials and products globally rather than airfreighting. 1,000 kilograms of airfreight will on average emit 500 grams of carbon dioxide per kilometre, compared to 15 grams per kilometre on a modern container vessel by sea.
Our road and trucking policy aims to utilise every kilometre of travel for cartage. This means no empty trucks and efficient scheduling systems to ensure each trip is transporting raw materials or finished product to the docks for shipping.
- 100% of water treated receives secondary treatment at our local city water treament facility; there is no direct discharge to the environment.

- We significantly reduce our CO2 emmisions by shipping raw materials and products by sea. We only use air freight when necessary and the majority of our finished products are transported by sea. This results in a significant reduction in our carbon footprint.
